Creator Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to SIMMY's creator portal at creators.simmysoap.com. If you're a SIMMY creator or affiliate, this policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and your rights. This policy supplements our main Privacy Policy — together, both policies apply to you.

Additional Information We Collect from Creators

In addition to the data described in our main Privacy Policy, we collect the following from creator applicants and active creators:

• Social media handles: your username(s) on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other platforms you use to promote SIMMY
• Audience data: approximate follower/subscriber counts and primary content categories, as provided by you during application
• Payment information: your preferred payment method for commission payouts (e.g., PayPal email, bank details via ACH — collected securely)
• Commission and referral data: clicks, orders, and revenue attributed to your unique referral link and promo code
• Communication records: emails, messages, and support interactions with our creator team

Commission Tracking — simmy_ref Cookie

When a customer clicks your unique referral link, we set a first-party cookie called simmy_ref in their browser. This cookie:

• Stores your creator ID so we can attribute purchases to your link
• Expires after 30 days from the click date
• Is a first-party cookie set by simmysoap.com — not a third-party tracking cookie
• Does not collect any personal data about the customer beyond the attribution event

If a customer purchases within 30 days of clicking your link, that sale is attributed to you and earns your commission. The simmy_ref cookie is only used for commission attribution — not for advertising or profiling.

How We Use Creator Information

We use your creator data to:

• Evaluate and approve creator applications
• Track referrals and calculate commissions accurately
• Process monthly commission payouts
• Communicate about your account, new products, and program updates
• Comply with tax reporting requirements (e.g., Form 1099-NEC if applicable)
• Maintain program integrity and detect fraud

Data Sharing

We share creator data only as necessary:

• Payment processors: to facilitate commission payouts
• Accounting and tax services: for financial reporting and compliance
• Legal authorities: if required by law

We do not sell creator data to third parties. We do not share your social media handles or audience data with advertisers.

Your Rights as a Creator

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you as a creator
• Correct inaccurate information in your creator profile
• Delete your creator account — request full deletion of your data by emailing us (note: we may retain records required for tax and legal compliance for up to 7 years)
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time
• Data portability — request a copy of your commission history and account data

Account Deletion

To close your creator account and request data deletion, email hello@simmysoap.com with the subject line "Delete My Creator Account." We will process your request within 30 days. Note that any pending commission payouts will be processed before deletion. Tax records may be retained as required by law.

Security

Your payment and commission data is stored with industry-standard security controls. Access to creator financial data is restricted to authorized SIMMY team members only.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the creator program evolves. We'll notify active creators by email of any material changes. The effective date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
